I was one of the first 10,000 users on Twitter. I think I may even be in the first 1500. I LOVED it when we were all helping shape it and figure out what it was going to be.

I was there when the hashtag and @ mention was created. I was literally on the thread (before threads were a thing) where we kind of decided that's how we were going to do it.

I was one of the first media personalities Twitter highlighted, and used to help the service grow.

I am in 100% alignment with Umair. Twitter was amazing, until Jack Dorsey and the board decided to allow Nazis to weaponize it. That's all Twitter is, now. It's a weapon to hurt vulnerable, marginalized people, to encourage and embolden violence and hate.

And that's exactly what its narcissistic, sociopathic, 4chan troll owner wants it to be.
